About Beaver Scouts
We are Lynne Mohns and James Vickers, and we are the Beaver Scout Leaders here.
As Beaver Scouting is based on the story called "Friend of the Forest", we have scouting names based on woodland animals/creatures. James is Fox, and Lynne is Muntjac. We are assisted at Beaver Scouts by young helpers Alice Stacey, who is Butterfly, Sid Mohns who is Skunk, and Alf Mohns who is Toad. All Beavers are expected to call us by our Scouting names.

All Beavers belong to a colony, and our colony is 4th
(Kirton) Beaver Scouts. We are part of the Boston District, along with other
colonies in Boston,
Wyberton, Fishtoft and more.
All Beavers belong to a Lodge, and these are Stick, Stone,
Moss and Mud. Each Lodge has a leader, whom is expected to support their Lodge
in activities and during the settling in period for new Beavers. We quite often
play games in our Lodges, and take part in activities as a lodge to try and
score lodge points.
Beaver Scouts are aged between 5 3/4 and 8 years of age. Beavers can register
their interest at any time, but cannot start attending until they are at least 5
3/4 years of age.
Beaver Scouts meet on a Thursday evening during term time between 5:15pm and 6:45pm.
